Man Arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child at Huntington Station Library

Suffolk County Police today arrested a homeless man for endangering the welfare of a child after he approached a young girl at a Huntington Station library yesterday.

A man gave a 4-year-old girl a stuffed animal, asked her to come with him and touched her hair at the Huntington Public Library, located at 1335 New York Ave., on October 14, 2019 at approximately 3:15 p.m. The girl’s mother confronted the man and he left the scene.

 

Following an investigation, Second Precinct Crime Section officers arrested Jose Aparicio today near the library at approximately 11 a.m. Aparicio, 30, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on October 16.
