After much discussion, and consulting with public health authorities, the Cinema Arts Centre will be suspending all film screenings and special events until the end of March, when we will reassess the situation. In every single crisis over the past 46 years of the Cinema’s history, we have always been able to best serve our community by staying open. This time is different. In this case, the right thing to do is to temporarily close.
We hope we can depend on your vital support to see us through to the moment when we can all reverse the social distancing this current crisis demands, and come back together as a community. We will still be accepting Memberships and financial donations. Public support is especially appreciated during this time of lost income, and will help us reopen as soon as it is advisable to do so.
For any current ticketholders: we will be offering the option to convert your ticket purchase to a tax deductible donation, credit to future events, or a full refund for those who request it. A member of our staff will contact all ticket holders in the coming days.
The entire staff of the Cinema Arts Centre appreciates your patience and understanding during this time. We very much look forward to welcoming you back to the theater upon reopening. In the meantime, visit the Cinema Arts Centre website www.cinemaartscentre.org for updates. Please feel free to reach out to us with your questions and concerns. The best way to reach us is by email at info@cinemaartscentre.org.
We want to extend an especially heartfelt thank you to all of our supporters. Our members, friends, partners and regulars are what make Cinema Arts Centre such a special place. Community solidarity is as important now as ever before. We encourage you to stay in touch with us on our social channels like Facebook and Instagram. Share your memories and let us know what you are watching at home. We deeply love and treasure every single member of the Cinema Arts Centre community, and look forward to seeing you all on the other side of this international crisis.
