COVID-19 CASE UPDATE – March 20, 2020
County Executive Bellone stated on the conference call March 20, 2020 that food should not be hoarded as the supply chain is working well. So please do not panic.
Suffolk County reported the following confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 through 2 p.m. on 3/20/2020
- 459 confirmed cases (up 220 from yesterday)
- 7 deaths, 4 reported today
Deaths reported today include:
- A man in his 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local nursing facility
- A woman in her 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local nursing facility
- A man in his 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local nursing facility
- A fourth individual – details pending
Deaths reported prior to today include:
- A man in his 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A man in his 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
- A woman in her 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital

- East Hampton — 4 patients
- Huntington — 97 patients
- Islip — 85 patients
