Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on October  5, 2020. Last updated October 4, 2020 

 

Total Persons Tested

  • 865,979  COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 5724 tests        
  • 4 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 9 percent of those tested on Long Islandin the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
  • 9  percent of those tested in Suffolk Countyin the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19

 

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 46,891 total cases
  • 49 new cases

 

Antibody Testing

  • 270,728 total were tested for antibodies
  • 28,670 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

 

Fatalities

  • 0 fatalities
  • 2,015 total fatalities

 

Hospitalization numbers from October 4, 2020

  • 25 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 1in 24 hours
  • 7 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),an increase of 3  in 24 hours
  • 4 new admissions
  • 1 discharged
  • 5,928 discharged since March 22
