The mentoring group – LEAD – Live Empowered And Dance – is having its first fundraising event.  The cost is $10 a ticket and includes a full breakfast.  Huntington Station Applebee’s is located in the same shopping center as Bed Bath and Beyond and Michaels.

There will be great gift basket raffles – please come out and support us!  (Or, if you cannot make it there, please consider buying a ticket anyway.)

L.E.A.D. is for young girls in the Huntington area age 9 through 13.  We meet weekly and spend half of our time in mentoring sessions and the other half the girls participate in a dance class led by a volunteer professional dance instructor.

We are in the process of incorporating as a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation and the monies raised at this event will assist in the fees necessary to incorporate, gain liability insurance, and will go directly to the girls for their programs.  All participants are completely volunteer.
