Four People Arrested at Sobriety Checkpoint In Huntington Station

An overnight checkpoint was set up on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 1:40 a.m. – 3:40 a.m. on New York Avenue and Church Street, Huntington Station.

Suffolk County Police arrested four people during the overnight sobriety checkpoint.

Through the coordinated efforts of the First, Second and Third Precincts along with the Highway Patrol Bureau, four motorists were arrested.

Two individuals were charged with Driving While Intoxicated. One was a 42 year old man from Huntington.  The other was a 27 year old woman from Wheatley Heights.

Two people were charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol. One was a 40 year old man from New Hyde Park.  The other was a 43 year old woman from East Patchogue.

The 4 individuals are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 6.
