The Townwide Fund of Huntington (www.townwidefund.org) thanks Canon U.S.A, Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, for its generous support and commitment to improving the quality of life in Huntington.  Canon U.S.A. awarded the Townwide Fund a corporate sponsorship that will significantly help the organization as it continues its mission of elevating the quantity and quality of vital human services available in the town of Huntington.

The $25,000 award was presented by Seymour Liebman, Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Canon U.S.A., to TWF Board President James T. Powers and Executive Director Trish Rongo on August 6 at Canon U.S.A.’s headquarters in Melville.

Canon’s commitment to the town of Huntington and to the Townwide Fund is part of Canon’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei – which is defined by Canon as “all people, regardless of race, religion, or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future.”

Board President James T. Powers encourages other members of Huntington’s business community to follow Canon’s lead and become an active part of the community.

“We are deeply grateful to Canon for their generosity and dedication to the Townwide Fund and to Huntington,” said Powers. “This example of true corporate leadership should serve as a beacon for all companies in our hometown.  Giving can take place in many different ways, from corporate sponsorships to payroll deduction plans.  We all have a responsibility to work together to have a positive impact on our hometown.”
