A dramatized reading of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, with music and sound effects, will be performed at the Cold Spring Harbor Library & Environmental Center. All are invited to attend this free program; advance registration is welcomed, but not required.
First published in 1953 when Nazi book burnings were fresh in the world’s consciousness, Bradbury’s famous novel has never been out of print. Fahrenheit 451 is undeniably a champion in the unending fight against censorship and apathy, and is considered a chilling and thought-provoking masterpiece of imaginative fiction. The dramatization is an adaptation by David Houston and will be performed by Michael Bertolini, Melanie Lipton, and David Houston.
