SCPD received a call Saturday evening November 12, 2016 at 7:48 to the Budget Inn at 655 West Jericho Turnpike. The call was for a possible over dose in one of the rooms at Budget Inn.
SCPD officer Fezza administered a shot of narcan to a 29 year old male and then to a 41 year old male. Huntington Community First Aid Squad was called to transport the two to Huntington Hospital. According to HCFAS the patients were alert and breathing upon transport to the hospital.
Narcan has saved many lives in Suffolk this year. This month there are 3 classes if you want to take the training. See Train class schedule here for East Setauket-Brightwaters-Hauppauge . If you can not go to one of these we will post the next batch of training, when we get it from the Health Department.
