Medical Emergency Causes Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a crime sceneHuntington Station man.  

Gary Capek was operating a 2006 Ford F-250 pickup northbound on New York Avenue when he apparently suffered a medical emergency and his vehicle left the roadway.  The Ford struck two parked cars in the driveway of 2394 New York Ave. at approximately 5:40 p.m December 6, 2016.

Capek, 58, of Huntington Station was transported to Huntington Hospital by Huntington Community Rescue where he was pronounced dead. Two occupants in one of the parked vehicles were not injured

Capek’s Ford was inspected for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
