Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday December 21, 2016 at a Commack bank.
A man entered Chase Bank, located at 39 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, at 4:30 p.m., approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.
The robber was described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, in his late 20s to early 30s, with olive skin, a mustache and scruffy beard. He was wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, gray pants and black gloves.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Major Case Unit detectives at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
