SCPD To Unveil Addition Of 9/11-Related Cancer Victims To Memorial Stone During Annual Ceremony

The Suffolk County Police Department will unveil the addition of the names of three members who died of 9/11-related cancer to the department’s memorial stone during the department’s annual memorial service on May 10, 2019.

The addition of the names of Sergeant James Farrell, Sergeant Dennis Reichardt and Detective Stephen Mullen will bring the department’s total members lost in the line of duty to 25.

During the memorial ceremony, law enforcement officers, friends and families of the fallen officers come together to remember the sacrifices these officers made while protecting and serving the people of Suffolk County.
