Sponsorship packages and digital journal ads are available. Individual tickets are $475 a person. Young professionals (age 21-36) are $275 a person. All proceeds from the dinner go to support HMTC’s Holocaust, anti-bias, tolerance and anti-bullying programming.
This year’s recipient of the Public Service Award is Martin B. Bloch, a Holocaust Survivor. Mr. Bloch is the Founder, Executive Chairman of the Board, and Chief Scientist of Frequency Electronics, Inc. His legendary innovations in precision time and frequency products have made his company into “The Timekeeper of Outer Space.” After escaping the local ghetto in Belarus, Mr. Bloch, his mother and older brother hid with righteous Gentiles before joining the Jewish partisan force “The Bielski Brothers.” Mr. Bloch is a supporter of many philanthropic causes and he currently resides with his wife and daughter in Oyster Bay Cove, NY.
John D. Cameron, Jr. P.E., licensed professional engineer, marine engineer, and U.S. patent holder, as well as, the Founder and Managing Partner of Cameron Engineers & Associates, LLP, will be the recipient of this year’s Legacy Award. Mr. Cameron is an active member of the Board of HMTC and he serves on a number of other not-for-profit professional, civil, and educational boards on Long Island. His honors include an ERASE Racism Corporate Leadership Award and a Vision Long Island Regional Leadership Award. Mr. Cameron and his wife Loretta reside in Rockville Centre, NY.
This year’s recipient of the Bruce Morrell Education Award will be Gail Kastenholz of Huntington Station, NY. The daughter of Holocaust Survivors, Gail was a founding member and first president of Generation to Generation, the first North Shore Second Generation Group on Long Island. She worked for the NYC Department of Education for 34 years and, since retiring, has dedicated much of her time and passion to HMTC as a docent, educator, and trained facilitator of the Nursing Program and the LEAS Police Program.
