Commack Middle School students took an early morning one mile run to celebrate Thanksgiving and good health.
Sponsored by the school’s Physical Education Dept., the annual tradition takes place the day before Thanksgiving. Runners received an apple, apple pie, and apple juice after completing the chilly course.

The Commack Boys Varsity Soccer Team took home the NYSPHSAA Class AA State Championship on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Fairpoint. Played in Middletown, NY, the team had a thrilling victory on Saturday in the semifinal game, with the only goal scored by Commack’s Anthony Izzo in overtime beating Shenendowa 1-0.
