 Linda Cafiero will lead a group meditation at the Cold Spring Harbor Library & Environmental Center. All adults and young adults age sixteen and older are invited to attend this free program; advance registration is encouraged.

 According to the Mayo Clinic, “Meditation can wipe away the day’s stress. Spending even a few minutes in meditation can restore your calm and inner peace.” In this introductory program, Ms. Cafiero will discuss the benefits of mindfulness, how to practice relaxation techniques, and will lead the group through a body-centered meditation. Through the exploration of various meditation techniques, students will be better able to find a form that suits their individual needs.

Attendees should bring a towel or mat and a small pillow if they choose to lie on the floor.
