Cold Spring Harbor FD Hosts Fire Prevention Week Open House

The Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department invites the community to their Fire Prevention Week Open House on Sunday, October 9, from 10 a.m – 1 p.m. at the park across from the Cold Spring Harbor Firehouse on Main Street – Route 25A.
 
The fun-filled and informative event will feature many activities including hands-on guided tours of fire engines and even the opportunity use a real fire hose.  Come and see your Cold Spring Harbor volunteer firefighters use the Jaws of Life to cut apart a real car.  Kids can participate in the Smoke House Trailer and learn how to safely escape a fire.  The whole family can learn about fire prevention and safety. There will be free giveaways and free hot dogs.
