The Huntington Historical Society invites you to celebrate the holiday season by participating in this exceptional tour.
Tour Begins at the David Conklin Museum
2 High Street, Huntington
Sunday, December 4, 2011
12 – 4 pm
During this time of year, the Huntington Historical Society arranges tours of local homes that date from Colonial times through the current century. The owners open their homes as a service to the community and the Huntington Historical Society. Each house is chosen for its unique design and historical details.
This year five historic homes in the area were chosen to be included on the tour. The 2011 house tour celebrates the Society’s 100 anniversary of owning and operating the C. 1750 David Conklin Museum. David Conklin was a descendant of one of the founding families of Huntington in the 1650’s. Several of the private houses on the tour were originally built by other Conklin descendants.
The tour will begin at the David Conklin Museum. Participants will tour of the museum. Refreshments will be served.
Last year’s event was sold out so it is recommended that you order your tickets early. The cost of the event is $35 for Historical Society members and $40 for non-members. Click here to purchase tickets online.
