The 13 minute audio is a phone conversation between a resident and a Town of Huntington official. After years of listening to broken promises to revitalize Huntington Station, she has had enough and intends to let Frank Petrone know it. Unfortunately it took a young women’s life to bring her to this breaking point. You will hear her hit on key issues and concerns that are shared by many other Town of Huntington residents. The apathy of the Town official is disturbing.
The content and subject matter of this audio is disturbing and is not suitable for children.

This is so typical of the town of Huntington. No one says please hold or how may I help you or show compassion in their voice.
That ASS-istant hand no remorse or compassion even after she told him who she was, he should be out of there. They all need to go back to school and learn how to handle a public phone call, especially of this nature, this is so TOH. Not to even mention the actual reason for the phone call to begin with. Did she really expect FP or anyone from the council to be in the station to rally for justice, REALLY, Huntington Station, not one of them came to the area with the media or a photo op to say anything in helping us solve this problem. Ok we know this is up to the police to handle this MURDER case but they could show some remorse of compassion to this family and all that are affected by this MURDER.
It’s not a hit and run, it a MURDER case in HUNTINGTON STATION, a young woman lost her life to multiple STAB wounds, yes MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS, lying in the street DEAD. Come on people, if this was in their neighborhood, enough said. Sympathy to the family. I would be so angry that they did NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

I would take a wild guess and say Frank is probably in Florida, not doing anything.
This Ass’t. Deputy to the Supt. is probably in charge right now and doesn’t know what to do. Since Frank never briefed him on how to react during emergencies, since he never handled anything of this nature himself, Mr. Ingerman was it (?) doesn’t know proper protocol or procedure when a town resident is murdered.
Even common sense, human nature, should tell our elected officials that they should have been down at the crime scene to see what happened, to go to the family to promise that they will help however they can with the police investigation, that they will do something to bring better protection to our residents, something.
How hard would it have been for this official on the phone to honestly answer the woman’s questions? Couldn’t he have said from the outset that he would talk to Frank immediately, that he would find out what he could do, that he would call 2nd precinct to get updated information, that the town would put out a response to this incident…something? Yeah, Cuthbertson is in hot water right now so he’s laying low obviously, but we have two women and another man on town council who could have, should have, been out there dealing with this murder. If there are reasons why the police and our officials are keeping quiet, for some investigational reason, then they could at least tell the people that!
Once again, I have little confidence in our town’s ability to handle emergencies, or any situation like this one, that affects the residents and their safety. There’s no photo op here, no political gain for them I guess. What a sorry state. And yet they keep getting voted in…by whom?
