Shots Fired in Huntington Station

According to the Suffolk County Police “An unoccupied, parked car was struck by bullets on Mulford Ave around 4:30 a.m.” today 11/26/14. Shot Spotter picked up this information for the Police. Police arrived and taped the area off. This is near the same area that Maggie Rosales was murdered in October. Police have been busy on patrol in the area, with more officers.

Community leaders are in denial about the amount of gun shots in and around Huntington Station area. Numerous times residents hear gunshots and the police are saying that some are fireworks or that the gunfire is “not confirmed”. Some who live in the area are repeatedly hearing gun shots in the early morning hours.

It is time for Supervisor Petrone, Town Council members and the Suffolk County Executive as well as our Police to put an end to this.
