Message Regarding Storm From HUFSD Superintendent James Polansky

I am sure that all of you are aware of this week’s blizzard warning.  This communication is to confirm that we are planning for a routine school day tomorrow, Monday, including the exams scheduled at the high school.

If the weather should take a significant turn for the worse earlier than expected, only then would we consider starting the afternoon buses earlier. Should that occur, a subsequent call will be placed as early as possible tomorrow. It would make sense, however, for all to be prepared.

We will also make a determination as early as possible tomorrow on afterschool activities, as well as on the status of Tuesday. Again, additional calls will be placed, which will also include the status of high school exams scheduled for Tuesday.

Thank you and please stay safe and warm this week.

Jim Polansky, Superintendent of Schools
