School Closings

For 1/26/15 – Monday

Cold  Spring Harbor – All after school activities are cancelled. The Jr/Sr High (only) will be dismissing students at 2:00 PM.

Commack – All afternoon Regents and midterms exams at the High School starting at 12PM are cancelled.  All after-school and evening activities are cancelled. SCOPE will operate on its usual schedule. Driver Ed is cancelled.

Elwood – Early dismissal starting at 12:00 p.m. All afternoon activities cancelled. ElwoodCare programs are closing at 4:00 p.m. Early dismissal as follows:

Buses bringing students in for the regents will begin at 10:00 am.  The regents exams will start at 10:30 am. Buses home for those students will be leaving the high school at both 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm.

Harborfields – Early dismissal will be initiated at OMS beginning at 1:00 p.m., at TJL and WDPS at approximately 1:45 p.m., The p.m. kindergarten and universal pre-kindergarten programs are cancelled for today., The high school’s midterm exams are cancelled for this afternoon, as well., All after school and evening activities, including SCOPE, are cancelled.

Half Hollow Hills – All after-school activities as well as the REACH/CYA after-school childcare program are cancelled.

Huntington – Early dismissal, Jack Abrams STEM Magnet, Woodhull Intermediate and J. Taylor Finley Middle School will dismiss at 1:05 p.m.,  Flower Hill, Jefferson, Southdown, and Washington Primary Schools will dismiss at 1:40 p.m., Huntington High School’s afternoon exams will be administered as scheduled, with buses remaining in place as scheduled., All afterschool and evening events will be postponed or cancelled.

Northport-East Northport -Early-dismissal, There will be no PM Kindergarten and no after-school SCOPE program, Elementary Students (except Norwood Ave), including private and parochial, will be dismissed at 1:00 PM, Norwood Avenue students will be dismissed at 1:45 PM,  Middle School students will be dismissed at 1:45 PM, Due to High School Exams, all High School students will have a regular 3:00 PM dismissal, All after-school and evening activities, including the Board of Education meeting, are cancelled.

South Huntington – Early dismissal – All afternoon and evening activities cancelled.
High school will still be administering the English and Algebra I Common Core Regents to our students as scheduled but moving that up to 11:15AM. English Regents buses will be arriving an hour early. Early release times are as follows: Stimson Middle School and Silas Wood: 12 p.m., Birchwood and Maplewood: 12 p.m., Oakwood and Countrywood: 1 p.m.

For 1/27/15 – Tuesday

Cold Spring Harbor – Closed

Commack – Closed

Elwood – Closed, 2015-2016 Kindergarten registration (1/27-1/29) cancelled and will be rescheduled. No exams administered.

Half Hollow Hills – Closed

Harborfields – Closed

Huntington – Closed

Northport/East Northport – Closed

South Huntington – Closed
