By Steve Silverman-Melville Fire Department volunteers responded to a fully involved fire in a Ford Bronco on Old Country Road near Wintergreen Drive, Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2015, at about 4 p.m. An electrical short caused the sports utility vehicle to stall and burst into flames. The driver was able to escape unharmed. About 20 firefighters were on the scene with three Melville fire engines and Fire Police. Firefighters quickly had the flames under control, led by Third Assistant Chief Chris Nolan.
