THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD
BLIZZARD WARNING…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 PM EST
SUNDAY.

* LOCATIONS…WESTERN SUFFOLK COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES…SNOW…HIGH WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 7 INCHES.

* WINDS…WEST 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES…FALLING INTO THE TEENS TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.

* VISIBILITIES…ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING.

* TIMING…LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST
SNOW AND STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING. CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH WHITEOUT
CONDITIONS.

* IMPACTS…DANGEROUS TRAVEL DEVELOPING AFTER MIDNIGHT WITH SNOW
AND HIGH WINDS. WINDS MAY DOWN POWER LINES AND TREE LIMBS.
