Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci recently welcomed Tracia Wildman, a student at Suffolk County Community College (SCCC), to a reception hosted by the New York Community College Association of Presidents (NYCCAP) at the New York State Museum in Albany. At the reception, Tracia was named to the USA Today Phi Theta Kappa New York All-American Academic Team.
“It’s important to honor those who are committed to excellence. Tracia has done a tremendous job taking advantage of the learning opportunities offered by SCCC. Her hard work is paying off and I know she will continue to be a role model to her peers as she looks to graduate with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts,” said Lupinacci, who teaches at SUNY Farmingdale, Hofstra University, and Saint Joseph’s College.
Members of the USA Today Phi Theta Kappa New York All-American Academic Team are recognized for excellence in the classroom as well as making significant contributions to their universities. Tracia is the vice president of PTK Alpha Delta Gamma Chapter scholarships and also a peer mentor at SCCC, and maintains a 3.8 GPA.
“I’m proud to have constituents who are so driven and willing to help their peers. I look forward to keeping up with Tracia’s progress as she looks to transfer to SUNY Albany to earn a degree in Psychology,” said Lupinacci.
