Volunteers from the Dix Hills Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident after a car crashed through a chain-link fence on Wolf Hill Road at Melrose Road, near Half Hollow Hills High School West. Under the command of Chief Robert Fling and Third Assistant Chief Joe Williamson, an ambulance, heavy rescue truck and paramedic responder were dispatched to the scene on Sunday, March 22, at about 2:40 p.m. The driver of the car declined medical assistance. There were no other injuries.
