From the Townwide Fund:
Have you seen the Townwide Fund Coin Boxes? They seem to be everywhere, thanks to the generous spirit of local merchants, from dry cleaners to restaurants to pizza places to delis and more. So whether you are grabbing a slice and a soda at DiRaimos Pizza on Wall Street or stopping by the 7-11 on East Main Street for a hot coffee and a lottery ticket, please say thank you to the person behind the counter for serving as a Coin Box Sponsor.
“Thanks to the generosity of our TWF Coin Box Sponsors, who share a few inches of valuable retail space, and the generosity of their customers, who are kind enough to drop in their dollars and coins, the Townwide Fund is able to provide more grants to local agencies,” said Greg Kennedy, Chair of the Coin Box Sponsor program.
Greg and Townwide Fund president Jim Powers recently visited John Milazzo, co-owner with his brother Vincent of the 7-11 store on East Main Street near the Townwide Fund office and a second 7-11 located where Pulaski Road meets Larkfield Road in East Northport.
“We encourage our friends and neighbors to patronize the stores who support the Townwide Fund,” added Jim Powers. “It truly takes a village to support a community, and every little bit adds up to make a big difference.”
