County Executive Bellone Makes Statement on Charleston, SC Church Shooting

“I am saddened by the horrific mass murder which occurred last evening in Charleston, South Carolina.  Out of caution, the Suffolk County Police Department will be increasing its patrol checks at religious institutions and have reached out to religious leaders throughout our communities.  We pray for the victims of this tragedy and we will continue to do all we can to protect public safety for all Suffolk County residents.”
