On Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10:23 a.m., Suffolk County Police arrested a Centerport man for robbing three banks and attempting to rob another in Suffolk County in July.
Following an investigation utilizing video surveillance and multiple Crime Stoppers tips, Pattern Crime Unit detectives identified Frank Marquez as the suspect involved in the following incidents:
Pattern Crime Unit detectives, with assistance from officers in the Second Precinct, located Marquez on Pulaski Road near Butterfield Drive in Greenlawn and placed him under arrest. Marquez was charged with three counts of Robbery 3rd Degree, one count of Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree for driving with a suspended license.
Marquez is being held overnight and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on July 25.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
