Suffolk Police Officer Involved in Crash

The Greenlawn Fire Department and Suffolk Police responded to a crash involving a Suffolk Police car from the Second Precinct and another vehicle on Jericho Turnpike and Manor Road, Saturday, August 1, shortly after 10 a.m. The officer and driver of the other vehicle were injured and transported to Huntington Hospital by the Greenlawn Fire Department Rescue Squad. Under the direction of Assistant Chiefs Mike Bellis and Joe Costanza, about 30 Greenlawn firefighters and EMS personnel were on the scene with two rescue trucks, three ambulances, and paramedic unit.
