Three Injured in Dix Hills Crash

The Dix Hills Fire Department responded to a crash on Vanderbilt Parkway near Candlewood Path in Dix Hills, Tuesday night, September 8, 2015, at around 8 p.m. Two vehicles were involved in the collision with a Toyota Sienna crashing into a utility pole, and a Nissan Maxima crashing off the road into the woods.

The Dix Hills Rescue Squad transported three injured occupants, a man and two women, to Huntington Hospital. About 30 Dix Hills volunteer firefighters and emergency medical personnel were on the scene with three heavy rescue trucks, three ambulances, first responder and paramedic units, under the direction of Chief Robert Fling and Assistant Chiefs Tom Napolitano and Joe Williamson.

The driver of the Toyota was arrested by Suffolk Police and charged with driving while intoxicated.
