Crash on New York Ave and Semon Road, Huntington Station

A forty-three year old woman escaped serious injury when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident Saturday, September 12, 2015.  At approximately 6:30 PM Huntington Community First Aid Squad received a call for a serious motor vehicle accident on New York Ave and Semon Rd.  According to bystanders the woman, driving a Mercedes, was exiting Dunkin Donuts when she was in collision with a landscaping truck which was traveling northbound on New York Ave.

Suffolk County PD called for heavy rescue as the female was trapped in her vehicle. Suffolk County Emergency Services Unit as well as Huntington Manor FD responded with equipment to remove the driver’s side door and allow access to the victim.  She was complaining of left side pain and received small lacerations to her cheek and left arm.  Huntington Community First Squad crew then extricated the victim and transported her to Huntington Hospital.

The truck’s driver and his passenger did not suffer any injuries and remained on the scene.
