Huntington Manor FD Responds to P.F. Chang’s Restaurant in Huntington Station

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to reports of a smoke condition at the P.F. Chang’s restaurant at the Walt Whitman Shops on Route 110 in Huntington Station, Sunday evening, October 18, 2015, at 5:20 pm. About 60 people in the restaurant were evacuated as firefighters investigated and checked the restaurant’s roof and ductwork.

The source of the smoke was believed to be from the building’s HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system. About 25 Huntington Manor firefighters responded with an engine and ladder truck, under the command of Chief Frank McQuade.

The restaurant was closed for the remainder of the evening.  There were no injuries reported.
