Cold Spring Hills Road Fire Put Out by Huntington Manor Fire Department

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to a house fire on Cold Spring Hills Road on Wednesday night, November 11, at about 9:25 p.m.

Firefighters arrived to find the residents safely outside the home with an active fire on the garage level spreading to the second floor. Huntington Manor volunteer firefighters began an aggressive attack on the blaze, which was brought under control within a half-hour. Over 50 firefighters were on the scene with six trucks, under the command of Chief Frank McQuade, with operations handled by Assistant Chiefs Mike DePasquale, Jon Hoffmann and Chuck Brady. The Huntington Fire Department assisted at the scene with a Rapid Intervention Team, while the Greenlawn Fire Department provided a standby engine at Huntington Manor’s quarters. Huntington Community First Aid Squad provided EMS support at the scene. The Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Huntington Town Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire.
