Donations Requested for a Family in Need

Dear Friends, Family and Neighbors,

In the aftermath of the fire on Cove Road, (click here to read the fire story)the Halesite Fire Department will be assisting the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Huntington Station in running a donation drive for clothes, bedding, and other life essentials (like toiletries) for the displaced family.

The following list of items are among the things that the family needs. In the spirit of giving, we ask that you please bring donation items to the Halesite Fire Department; there is a bin the in lobby where all items can be left. As soon as items are received, we will be transferring them to the Church so that they can distribute them to the family.

Men’s clothing -xxl
Women’s clothing- 12/14
BOY’s clothing -4T and age appropriate toys, children’s books, etc
Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, etc…)
two slice toaster
tall garbage can and garbage bags
measuring spoons & measuring cups
cooking utensils (egg flipper, large spoons etc)
baking dish
colander
cutting board
cooking pots and pans
cookie sheets
drinking glasses
tea kettle
iron
cordless phone
first aide kit
small fire extinguisher
wall clock
alarm clock
toilet brush and holder

Any donation will be accepted, even if it’s not on this list, and no donation is too small. We thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
