Conte, the event’s namesake, represented the 10th Assembly District for nearly 25 years until his death on October 16, 2012. The late assemblyman was a two-time kidney transplant recipient and an outspoken advocate for organ donation.

“I take pride in carrying on the legacy of Assemblyman Conte, who I am honored to call my mentor,” Lupinacci said. “Each year at this terrific event, men and women can receive free health screenings. Encouraging New Yorkers to maintain good kidney health is certainly something we can all get behind.”
