Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci and fellow elected officials recently welcomed a new slate of Melville Fire Department officers to their leadership roles during the department’s 69th annual Inspection and Installation of Officers dinner.
The ceremony was held Saturday, April 10 at Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage State Park. After being sworn in, each of the newly minted Melville Fire Department officers received official New York State Assembly Citations to commemorate the occasion.

“On Long Island, volunteerism forms the bedrock foundation of the fire service. Every day, men and women from all walks of life step up and freely offer themselves in service to their neighbors,” Lupinacci said. “I applaud each of the new officers who were sworn in to lead the Melville Fire Department, and I congratulate them and their colleagues for their courage and community spirit.”
