St. Hughes Church Convent Burglarized Twice

Suffolk County Police Hate Crimes Unit detectives have arrested a Huntington Station man for two burglaries that occurred at a St Hughes Church Convent in Huntington Station last month.

 

On March 7 and March 26, 2016, an unknown subject entered the convent and stole property and cash Pantoja, Robertobelonging to the nuns who live there. On Tuesday, April 26, 2016 detectives from the Hate Crimes Unit arrested Roberto Pantoja for these crimes.

 

Pantoja, 31, of East Fourth Street, Huntington Station, is being charged with two counts of Burglary 2nd Degree as a Hate Crime. He is being held at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned April 27th, 2016 at First District Court in Central Islip

 

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact the Hate Crimes Unit at 631-852-6323. All calls will be kept confidential.
