Dr.
Bennardo sent out a voice message to parents of South Huntington Schools about an incident with a stranger, that happened May 4, 2016. To Listen to the message click here.
Good afternoon,
The following information was shared with us by officials in the South Huntington School District. This morning, a South Huntington middle school student reported that she was approached yesterday May 4, 2016 afternoon, by a white male in a red sedan as she was heading south on Oakwood Road. The student further reported that the man made repeated attempts to invite her into the car and followed her for several minutes as she ignored his requests and continued to walk. The Second Precinct has been contacted and a report has been filed.
I ask that you please take this opportunity to remind your children of the importance of personal safety and vigilance, and reporting any such incidents to a parent, trusted adult and/or school official immediately.
Thank you and regards,
Jim Polansky, Superintendent of Schools
