The Elwood Union Free School District is pleased to congratulate Elwood-John H. Glenn High School sophomore Alexandra Sachelari for having her artwork displayed in the Heckscher Museum of Art’s 20th annual Long Island’s Best: Young Artists Exhibit.

The Long Island’s Best showcase featured 83 extraordinary works of art created by young artists from across Long Island. Students in grades 9 through 12 submitted an art piece that exemplifies their creative expression. The quality of artwork delivers a professional-level show in a range of media, styles and subjects.

Advised by her art teacher Amy Lindenbaum, Sachelari selected her detailed drawing of multiple hands to showcase in the museum.

The district extends its congratulations to Sachelari for representing her school at this elite art showcase.
