The Melville Fire Department recently honored Firefighter Nick Fisher for his 41 years of outstanding and dedicated service to the department and Melville community. At a recent department meeting, Fisher was presented with a plaque for his many years of service, and a cake in his honor was shared by the members. Firefighter Fisher was the head chauffeur trainer and instructed many firefighters to become safe fire engine operators. He was also the secretary of Engine Company 3. Fisher will soon be moving to North Carolina and will become a Life Member of the Melville Fire Department.
