“Today Marks the Dawn of a New Era Between the SCPD and the Public” Says Commissioner Sini

At a press conference on Tuesday May 24, 2016 Police Commissioner Tim Sini showed the press a new crime website that the SCPD has released for transparency. Sini stated “Increasing transparency is very import to the department and comes out of a top to bottom assessment of the department. The new area of transparency is a welcome theme to the SCPD and the public.”

Sini further stated “On top of this new crime statistic portion of the SCPD website our police in the patrol cars have a New Crime Mapping application for patrol cars and is now available on their desktops, police are using this new software daily to fight crime.”  The new crime report feature does have plans to expand so the public can drill down on the data. New features are to be added over time and this is the 1st step in the process.
