A motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Park Ave. Friday May 27, 2016 in Huntington and he passed traffic on the right hand shoulder at a high rate of speed, when he struck a vehicle turning left into Kleet Lumber on to a driveway at 7:54 a.m. According to the police the motorcyclist was thrown about 150 feet from the impact point.
Park Avenue was closed from about 8am to around 2pm. Traffic was an absolute mess for hours.
The motorcyclist, Michael Stracuzza, 28, of Centereach, was airlifted to Stony Brook for serious injuries.
