Elwood Recognizes Seniors’ Accomplishments

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School held its 54th annual Senior Awards Presentation on May 24, 2016 to recognize and honor graduating seniors for their accomplishments. In addition, organizational and memorial scholarships were presented to deserving members of the senior class.

Assistant Principal Carisa Burzynski officially began the ceremony, extending words of welcome and thanks to all those who helped organize the event. She also noted the exceptional talent and scholar the students exhibited to be honored.

“Naturally, we would like to acknowledge the hard work, dedication and incredible talent of our students,” said Burzynski. “This is an amazing group of young men and women and the accomplishments of the students sitting in this audience is pretty impressive.”

Among an audience of family, friends and district administrators, department chairs, guidance counselors and teachers called students to the stage to present them with awards for their academic achievements. Additionally, administrators, community members and organization representatives awarded more than 25 scholarships during the evening.

The district congratulates all students who were honored for their accomplishments.
