Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole items from a Commack store this month.
A man entered Dick’s Sporting Goods, located at 6070 Jericho Turnpike, on May 16 at approximately 9:45 p.m. and stole two New York Knicks jerseys and two Brooklyn Nets jerseys. He was wearing an all red sweatsuit and a black jacket. The man left the store and fled in a four door silver sedan with a partial plate of ‘HAK’ being operated by a heavy set female, possibly Hispanic, in her early 40’s and wearing a pink shirt.
The suspect is described as a thin black male, approximately 6 feet three inches tall in his early 50’s, with short/shaven hair.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
