The Town of Huntington and the Huntington Community Development Agency have extended until August 12, 2016 the deadline for submitting applications for the lottery for eleven affordable townhouse units within the 76-unit Country Pointe at Huntington development.
The development, being built by Beechwood Huntington LLC, is adjacent to Avalon Bay Huntington on East Fifth Street in Huntington Station. Country Pointe residents will have access to Avalon Bay’s amenities, including the clubhouse, pool and children’s play area.
Available are six two-bedroom units and five three-bedroom units. The sales price for the two-bedroom units is $212,375 for applicants who qualify at 80 percent of the median income ($59,450 for an individual, $84,950 for a family of four) and $318,625 for the three-bedroom units for applicants who qualify at the 120 percent of median income ($89,200 for an individual, $127,450 for a family of four).

Applicants need to complete the intake form and submit it to the Community Development Agency on or before August 12, 2016. The lottery is now scheduled for 5 p.m. on August 30, 2016, at Huntington Town Hall. The previous deadline for submitting an application was June 10, 2016 and the lottery had been scheduled for July 11, 2016.
