East Northport Fire Department Hosts Opioid Awareness Seminar

The East Northport Fire Department in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Department will be hosting an Opioid Awareness Seminar at their firehouse at 1 Ninth Avenue and Larkfield Road, on Thursday, June 23, at 7 p.m.  The seminar will feature speakers from various agencies giving vital information to families on the epidemic drug abuse problems in our local neighborhoods. There will also be Narcan training provided, and those who attend will receive a kit.

The East Northport Fire Department Rescue Squad has responded to a growing number of overdose calls, with nearly 20 calls just this year and three of them occurring in the last week.
