Little Shelter Supporter Wins $25,000

On the last weekend of June 2016 the 18th Semi-Annual Mercedes-Benz raffle was held at Little Shelter Animal Rescue in Huntington. The winning ticket was: number 076. Our lucky winner was Elizabeth of Ronkonkoma who was present at the time of the drawing. Elizabeth is a loyal supporter of Little Shelter and attends many events. She has bought a ticket at a few of the previous raffles, so it was very exciting that this time she won! President Maryann Chernovsky with Director David Ceely, presented Elizabeth with the check for $25,000.

Gail King, host of Looking To Make A Difference With Gail, came to Little Shelter with her camera crew to film this exciting event and announce the winner.  With tickets selling until the last day, one ticket out of an available 600 tickets, would win a new Mercedes-Benz or $25,000. A group of staff, volunteers and attendees gathered around anxiously, as they waited for the winning ticket to be pulled.

After the drawing, President Maryann gave thanks to all those who participated and purchased tickets stating, “This is a major fundraiser for Little Shelter that brings in 10’s of thousands for the animals in Little Shelters care.”

All proceeds went to helping the animals at Little Shelter Animal Rescue.

The entire staff of Little Shelter Animal Rescue would like to congratulate Elizabeth and to thank everyone for purchasing tickets for the raffle.
