Shot Spotter Arrest Made After Activation Hears Shots Fired

Suffolk County Police today arrested a Huntington Station man for possessing a handgun.

Second Precinct police officers responded to 150 Lenox Road, Huntington Station, after a shot spotter activation at 4:51 a.m. Officers arrived and arrested Cristian Rodriguez for possessing an unloaded 9mm handgun.

Second Squad detectives charged Rodriguez, 24, a renter or guest of 150 Lenox Road, with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree. He will be held overnight and scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on July 24, 2016.
