Boating in Huntington just got a little safer thanks to a $5,000 donation from local Anheuser-Busch distributor Clare Rose to fund the Sea Tow Foundation’s 42 Life Jacket Loaner Stations at the locations across Long Island. Huntington’s life jacket loaner stations, are available in a few locations- one is located at Britannia Yachting Center on Fort Salonga Road, will receive 48 new life jackets from the donation. Additional stand locations can be found by logging onto www.boatingsafety.com.

The donation is made possible through a partnership between Sea Tow Services International, Inc., the leading provider of non-emergency on-water assistance, Sea Tow Foundation and Clare Rose. This is the third donation from Clare Rose and Anheuser-Busch, which will enable the non-profit Sea Tow Foundation to continue to make life jackets available to the public free of charge at these 42 life jacket loaner stands, which were established in 2013. Since 2013 Clare Rose has donated $30,000 to help keep boaters safe on Long Island and to remind them that wearing life jackets on the water saves lives.

The Sea Tow Foundation’s national Life Jacket Loaner Station program allows boaters to borrow life jackets to replace missing, damaged or ill-fitting personal flotation devices (PFDs), or to use for extra guests on board their boats. “We want to thank Clare Rose for their generous donation in support of safe boating in Eastern Long Island,” said Captain Michael Lagenbach, Owner of Sea Tow Huntington. “We know that these life jacket loaner stations help save lives. It’s an important service that our Foundation can provide to the community and we’re thankful for the donation.”

Sean Rose, President of Clare Rose added, “We are proud to contribute to Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program. We encourage all boaters to wear life jackets when out on the water and boat responsibly.”

Boating safety always has been Sea Tow’s number-one priority, which is what led Sea Tow Founder Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer to establish the Sea Tow Foundation in 2007. “Sea Tow offers many innovative, free boating safety and information services to the public,” said Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer,CEO of Sea Tow Services International and my father was a pioneer.- and we continue these great efforts today. “These include our popular Sea Tow App for iPhones and Android smartphones and Sea Tow’s Automated Radio Check Service, in addition to the Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Station Program.”
