Suffolk County Police to Introduce Two New Canine Officers-Maverick and Dallas

Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy D. Sini and Chief of Department Stuart Cameron introduced two new Canine Section dogs on August 10, 2016.

The two German Shepherds, Dallas V, 15 months old, and Maverick, 19 months old, were bred in Europe and have been with the Suffolk County Police Department for approximately one month. They are expected to complete training in November, 2016. The instruction covers criminal apprehension, evidence recovery, obedience and tracking. Welcome aboard Maverick and Dallas V.
